The courage to try the next line.

I have always loved making people laugh, but stand-up required me to approach humor in a completely new way. During my junior year, I began formal training at The Comedy Studio in Cambridge, where I learned to write original material, develop timing, and perform for a live audience.

Why comedy matters

It’s scary, unpredictable, and really fun.

Stand-up has taught me to take risks, revise constantly, and listen carefully to an audience. Every performance provides immediate feedback, and every set requires me to adapt in real time.

Since completing my first course, I have continued writing and performing at local venues.

Comedy + service

Stand Up for Good

In June 2026, I helped organize and perform in a comedy fundraiser benefiting AACD, the rehabilitation hospital in Recife where my family has volunteered for several years.

The event allowed me to combine comedy, service, and event leadership, while bringing people together around a cause that is personally meaningful to me.
